What is Naprapathic Healthcare Pain Treatment Clinic?
Naprapthic Medicine :: Pain Treatment
Sports Medicine :: Meridian Therapy

Our office is dedicated to finding and treating the cause of your pain, discomfort, and/or any limited/loss of function. The objective of the treatment is to relieve pain, restore flexibility, release tension and leave the connective tissues pliable and in balance.

What is Naprapathy?

It is a branch of the medical field and part of the health care system that specializes in the evaluation/diagnosis and treatment of the conditions of the connective tissue that form and/or surround tendons, ligaments, fascia, muscles, nerves and discs that causes pain, discomfort and structural imbalances.

Naprapathy is the study of the evaluation/diagnosis and treatment of the connective tissue of the neuro-musculo-tendino skeletal conditions and how they relate to the structure of the body.

What is Connective Tissue?

Connective tissue primarily supports bodily structures and is found throughout the human body, connecting everything to everything else running in three-dimensional planes.

It consists of complex macromolecules that are assembled into an insoluble extracellular matrix. Differences in the connective tissues of cartilage, tendon, ligaments, fascia, vessels etc.. are partially explained by differences in the content of specific components and also depend on the three-dimensional organization of the molecular components.

Your body is a complex network of connective tissue that can become irratated and inflamed, strained or imbalanced, too tight in some areas and too loose in other areas. Inflamation, strains and imbalances often result in discomfort, soreness, pain and loss of range of motion.

Structural imbalances may contribute to health concerns farther up the kinetic chain radiating to other parts of the body. There are changing tension on certain axis cylinders within the nerve trunk, the nerve ending or the adventitia of the blood vessel causing irritation and affecting the function of that particular area, compromising neuro-musculo-tendino skeletal function and bringing out connective tissue misalingment, muscle spasms and joint dysfunction. You may be unaware that you have a comprehensive musculoskeletal imbalance until a build up of signs and symptoms reaches loss of movement, stiffness or an unbearable level of pain and loss of function.

These imbalances can occur slowly and over time causing your body's connective tissue to become tight and distorted. Some causes are

  • Faulty posture and structural asymmetries
  • Improper biomechanics (ergonamics)
  • Excessive external loads
  • Poor sleeping position
  • Repetitive motion
  • Stess
  • Scar tissue and adhesions (injury, post-surgery)
  • Lack of exercises
  • Aging and tissue weaknesses
  • Deficiency of vital nutrients and poor quality diet
  • Toxic environment and Internal pollution (toxins in the body)

Imbalances can also occur abruptly due to sudden trauma such as:

  • Falls
  • Strokes
  • Sport injuries (sprain/strain, teninitis)
  • Motor vehicle accidents
  • Work related injuries

Naprapathic Examination

Our NHC Pain Treatment Clinic is dedicated to finding the cause of your pain, discomfort and the limited or loss of function. This is done through a:

  • Detailed Medical History
  • Physical and Naprapathic Examination
  • Topographical and Anatomical Evaluation
  • Range of Motion and Muscle Testing
  • Performance of Standard Orthopedic and Neurological Tests
  • Diagnostic work-up when necessary (X-ray, MRI, Musculoskeletal Ultrasound, EMG, NCS, SSR, DEP, and Laboratory)

Naprapathic Treatment

As a Naprapath I concentrate on the connective tissues including muscles, tendons, fascia, discs, and ligaments and how they relate to the structure of the body. My focus is on any inconsistencies with the connective tissue such as inflammation, tension, congestion, imbalances, trigger points, tears, and scar tissues. Muscles and tendons are important to the placement of the bones and movements of the joints. Ligaments and fascia are stabilizers that act like guide wires and nets in support and function of the musculoskeletal system. Postural misalignments can be the source of muscle aches, tendonitis, and joint pain.

Naprapathic treatments are safe, gentle, and effective promoting healing at a faster rate. Alternating the following:

  • Soft tissue manipulations:
Gentle manipulation and mobilization of muscles and related soft tissue structures of the body.

  • Physiological Therapeutics and modalities:
The application of therapeutic agents can include:
    • Electro-Therapy
    • Ultrasound
    • Traction
    • Iontophoresis
    • Phonophoresis
    • Galvanic
    • Moist Heat
    • Cryotherapy
    • Rehabilitative Exercises
    • Therapeutic Exercises

Additional Information

Further diagnostic work-up is ordered when necessary. This includes radiology, MRI, diagnostic ultrasound, neurological work-up and laboratory. There are many diagnostic facilities in the area that cover most insurance plans. We can help you find a facility that accepts your insurance plan.
